About Martin Lexow

Introducing
My name is Martin Lexow and i was born in Berlin in 1987. My biggest talent is being creative – in any ways. So let me introduce you in some things i’m really interested in.

It’s all about music
»In the beginning there was Jack, and Jack had a groove. And from this groove came the grooves of all grooves…« In 2004 i started being a deejay: i bought two Technics 1210 and a DN-X300 Mixer and produced tons of mixtapes under the pseudonym Matt Noncom. In 2005 i tryed myself out as a »real« producer with most of the equipment you can imagine. Music is definitely more than a hobby – it’s a passion. For me it wasn’t enough to be just a consumer, i wanted to be a part of the whole creative process. But in 2007 i sold everything and quit for a while. At the End of 2008 i got Turntables and Mixer again. And the story continues: I felt that I want more so I started to learn playing piano seriously at the beginning of 2009.

Moving Moments
Since my education, which started in 2003, i was involved in some interesting video-projects. I never stopped learning the practice of making films: writing set-concepts, the whole post-production-part, within the »final cut« – i know every step and i tried my best at all. I can’t release the whole stuff i made, cause there some »top secrets« projects, but you will find some very nice trailer at the movies-section. The advancement in the video-technic is breathe-taking: Never-seen-before recording-quality meets powerful computers who let your creativity no borders. I think the future will show much new stuff from me in this case.

A talent
Don’t know why, but i have an eye for it. Just a view of seconds and i have a feeling for what i see in case of the design. That’s the reason why i’m making so much creative stuff. »golden ratio«? i never learned things like that, it’s just there. it’s me. The cool thing in point of design is, that everything could be defined as »design«. It’s difficult to explain what it means for me. It’s like a talent which i love to use and live. From Homepages to Print-Layouts over industrial design. I’m addicted.

An Apple a day
There’s no secret about that i’m absolutly in love with products from apple. The reason is that they’re combine in such a perfect way very usable products with an incredible design. It was a really great honor buying my first PowerMac in 2005, a G5 Dual Core. Early 2008 i got my second one: a MacBook wich is fantastic for any creative works where ever you are. In 2009 i said »Hello« to the third one: an original, fully-functional Apple SE/30. Assembled in Ireland in 1989. Love it. The point is that there products more than just gadgets to use. They have passion. No wonder that you can find most of them at the Museum of Modern Art in NY. I have an incredible respect especially for Johny Ive who is accountable for many highlights in the apple-productline. And also for Steve Jobs, who made this comany accomplished. Keep on the good work and thanks for shareing your innovations.
